HR Tech Outlook Names PeopleScout a Top 10 Recruitment Software Provider

Company Also Featured as December’s Issue Cover Story, “PeopleScout: Realigning the Pillars of the RPO Industry”

Chicago, IL – December 28, 2015 – HR Tech Outlook, a magazine that monitors today’s trends in HR technology solutions, has ranked PeopleScout as a Top 10 Recruitment Software Provider in its December 2015 issue. A distinguished panel including CEOs, venture capitalists, chief information officers, analysts, human resource specialists and the magazine’s editorial board chose providers with the capability to fulfill the need for cost-effective and flexible solutions “that add value to the HR landscape.”

PeopleScout is also the subject of the issue’s cover story, “PeopleScout: Realigning the Pillars of the RPO Industry.”  The article provides insight from PeopleScout on the company’s RPO solutions, including the technology that led it to being honored by the magazine as a top source of recruitment software solutions.

Jane Hussey, Managing Director of PeopleScout’s Australia and New Zealand region, says a primary reason PeopleScout was chosen by HR Tech Outlook is Springboard, the company’s proprietary applicant tracking system (ATS) and customer relationship management (CRM) software.

“Springboard is a unique offering and it dramatically improves the efficiency of our clients’ overall recruitment process,” Hussey said.  “It’s customizable to meet changing client needs and has a rich set of features that make it extremely valuable as an all-in-one recruitment tool for sourcing, processing, and onboarding candidates. It also provides efficient solutions for human resource information systems, which makes Springboardone of the most versatile HR technology solutions available.”

Another reason for PeopleScout’s recognition from HR Tech Outlook is its Higher Insightsrecruitment analytics tool, which leverages big data received from the Springboard™ software, PeopleScout Senior Vice President Gerry Sullivan explained.

“Higher Insights has helped several of our clients pinpoint areas for improvement and quickly restructure specific roles in order to maximize business productivity,” Sullivan said.  “For example, the information gleaned through Higher Insights helped one of our clients in the travel and hospitality industry quickly restructure their crucial customer service roles and lower turnover by 30 percent. It also led to an 18 percent increase in sales productivity per associate.”

PeopleScout understands that technology has an important role in streamlining all recruitment processes. The development of recruitment technologies is one of the fastest growing trends in HR, and HR technology is currently providing the largest impact in RPO innovation.

“The ability to collect and analyze HR data is absolutely crucial to modern business,” said PeopleScout President Taryn Owen. “The talent pool is constantly shifting, and our technology solutions are constantly adapting in order to take our clients’ businesses to the next level.”

PeopleScout Named to 2015 Military Friendly ® Employers List

Chicago, IL – November 11, 2014 – PeopleScout, one of the world’s largest recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) providers, has been named a Military Friendly® Employer by G.I. Jobs magazine. This list identifies companies across the nation that possess the strongest employment opportunities and retention programs for transitioning veterans and veteran spouses seeking employment.

“Our Military Friendly Employers list, now in its 12th year, constitutes those companies consistently hiring from the military community and offering leading programs to support service members and spouses,” said Sean Collins, Vice President for Victory Media and a nine-year Navy veteran. “Our 2015 Military Friendly Employers reported hiring more than 155,000 service members and spouses over the last 12 months, an increase of more than 35 percent over last year. This isn’t a new hiring pledge─it’s an update of ongoing hiring activities from the leaders in post-military employment.”

Those named to the 2015 list represent over 180 companies from diverse industries ranging from healthcare to retail. Each year, hundreds of organizations vie for the opportunity to bear the Military Friendly Employer mark. The chosen organizations all share a dedication to the excellence in military recruiting and offering best-in-class programs in support of their veteran employees.

PeopleScout was selected based upon a deep analysis of veteran hiring initiatives and policies, including percentage military new hires, strength of veteran recruiting programs, veteran retention programs and National Guard and Reserve service policies. This achievement places the company in the top 2 percent of employers considered for the honor.

“We are exceedingly proud and excited to be recognized as a Military Friendly Employer,” PeopleScout President Taryn Owen said. “Veteran advocacy is core to our mission at PeopleScout and we are honored to have our efforts acknowledged at this level of prestige.”

Having placed more U.S. Military veterans in full-time employment than any other recruitment firm in the world, PeopleScout serves as a prime example of veteran advocacy. PeopleScout has created a unique system called the Veteran Talent Exchange (VTE) whereby veterans seeking employment will gain a broader opportunity to be placed into the right position for them. The VTE serves over 5,000 veteran candidates and connects them to its many respected partners. PeopleScout is a longtime proponent of military employment and has helped numerous clients establish formal veteran hiring programs and increase veteran hires.

Seaton Hosts U.S. Secretary Of Labor Thomas Perez For The Skills For Chicagoland’s Future Roundtable Conference

Today, recruiting and outsourcing firm Seaton hosted U. S. Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez for a roundtable discussion organized by Skills for Chicagoland’s Future, a signature initiative of Mayor Rahm Emanuel that partners with local employers, such as Seaton, to identify their available hiring needs and matches them with qualified unemployed job seekers in Chicago and Cook County.

Today’s roundtable allowed Secretary Perez to see firsthand the success of the Skills for Chicagoland’s Future program and hear from a variety of its business partners and board members about the value of a demand-driven approach to workforce development. The Secretary also addressed challenges and concerns expressed by business leaders and discussed how his office can offer assistance. Secretary Perez’s visit also included a tour of Seaton’s offices and a meeting with several Seaton employees who were placed in their current jobs through Skills for Chicagoland’s Future.

Seaton CEO Patrick Beharelle sits on the board for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future and to date The Seaton Companies have hired more than 250 employees through the program. “It’s an unfortunate fact that once an individual has been unemployed for a certain amount of time, they are at a disadvantage when competing with employed candidates for jobs. This creates a spiral effect that makes it harder and harder for these people to re-enter the workforce,” Beharelle commented. “We’re proud to be working with Skills for Chicagoland’s Future to change that scenario and I welcome Secretary Perez to our headquarters for an overview of how the program works.”

At today’s event, Secretary Perez expressed his commitment to finding new ways to address the skills gap. “Through an industry-driven model that aligns with the needs of businesses, Skills for Chicagoland’s Future provides job seekers with the opportunity to gain credentials and opportunities that can lead them on a path toward jobs that are in demand today.”

“We are honored to have the opportunity to meet with Secretary Perez and show him firsthand the success of a demand-driven approach to reducing unemployment here in Chicago through our partnerships with companies such as Seaton,” said Marie Trzupek Lynch, president and CEO of Skills for Chicagoland’s Future. “Seaton has been a tremendous partner of ours. The company originally committed to hire 170 unemployed job seekers through our program, and have exceeded that goal, hiring more than 250 to date. We look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.”

About Skills for Chicagoland’s Future
