PeopleScout Earns 2020 Military Friendly® Employer Designation for the Sixth Consecutive Year

CHICAGO (August 22, 2019) — PeopleScout announced today that it has been named a 2020 Military Friendly® Employer. This is the sixth consecutive year PeopleScout received the honor.

Organizations earning the Military Friendly® Employer designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 290 companies participated in the Military Friendly® Employers portion of the 2020 Military Friendly® Companies survey.

“We are incredibly grateful for the sacrifices made by all of our veterans,” said PeopleScout President Taryn Owen. “PeopleScout has a long-standing commitment to supporting veterans as they transition back into the civilian world. We are inspired to find and deliver the best talent and know that when we help a service member find a job, we are doing just that.”

PeopleScout is committed to hiring military talent, knowing first-hand that recruiting veterans and military spouses is not only the “right thing to do,” but the right thing for businesses. PeopleScout launched the Veteran Talent Exchange on Veterans Day 2013, which connects thousands of veterans every year to top employers nationwide.

PeopleScout’s parent company, TrueBlue, was a founding member of the national advisory circle on the Veteran Employment Advisory Council, which was created in 2011. The VEAC is committed to hiring veterans and military spouses, establishing best practices for veteran employment and working with other businesses to do the same. TrueBlue is also a proud supporter of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) initiative. As a Friend of HOH, TrueBlue connects service members, veterans and military spouses with career opportunities at TrueBlue and its clients.

Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by VIQTORY, a service disabled, veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) that connects the military community to civilian employment, educational and entrepreneurial opportunities, with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining an organization’s survey score with an assessment of the organization’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicant, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion & Advancement of veterans and military employees.

PeopleScout will be showcased along with other 2020 Military Friendly® Employers in the December issue of G.I. Jobs® magazine, the January 2020 issue of Military Spouse Magazine, and on MilitaryFriendly.com.

Nikki Edwards, Principal HR Research Analyst at NelsonHall, said: ”PeopleScout’s proactive approach to bringing to the fore best practices in talent acquisition services and technology, ensuring the candidate is central to every initiative deployed, is acknowledged by NelsonHall and PeopleScout’s clients alike.”

NEAT is NelsonHall’s vendor evaluation and assessment tool, a method by which buyers can strategically evaluate vendors across a range of criteria and business situations and identify the best performing vendors overall. Positioning as a “Leader” on the NEAT vendor evaluation is based on a combination of analyst assessments and feedback from RPO vendor clients. Interviews with RPO vendor clients focus on measuring the vendor’s ability to deliver both immediate benefit as well as to meet future requirements.

  • “Ability to leverage TrueBlue’s other brands and expertise to offer breadth and depth of services to its RPO clients (total talent clients)”

PeopleScout’s 2019 NEXT Talent Summit – NelsonHall’s Recap

PreopleScout – Improving employer branding, driving global growth

This month, PeopleScout hosted its 2019 NEXT Talent Summit in Washington D.C. The event included sessions filled with talent leaders speaking on various trends in talent acquisition – technology, data, employer branding, diversity and leadership.

Gary Bragar, HR outsourcing research director at NelsonHall, an independent industry analyst firm, recently issued a positive blog post on PeopleScout’s annual event, particularly in regard to PeopleScout’s global growth and employer branding methodology.

PeopleScout President Taryn Owen’s opening remarks focused on such global growth, as she highlighted the one-year anniversary of the company’s acquisition of TMP Holdings LTD (TMP), which strengthened its global RPO and talent advisory capabilities.

Bragar’s post comments on the impact TMP has had on PeopleScout: “The acquisition expanded PeopleScout’s global RPO capabilities and EMEA base, and its London office became PeopleScout’s EMEA headquarters. TMP also assisted in PeopleScout’s talent advisory offering by adding services, such as employer branding, recruitment marketing, assessment services and talent acquisition strategy.”

PeopleScout’s Andrew Wilkinson, executive leader, group managing director – Europe and Asia Pacific, and a presenter at this year’s Talent Summit, explained one aspect that drives PeopleScout’s growth is its focus on employer brand value.

Bragar says PeopleScout is excelling at creating a compelling brand experience across the employer lifecycle, particularly with its RPO clients. For example, in the post, he notes PeopleScout’s work with a UK grocery chain, in which they created a campaign featuring videos of a diverse group of people sharing stories about managers who inspired them. The video was viewed 484,000 times with positive feedback, and ultimately exceeded the client’s goal of hiring 3,000 people for a new type of role.

“PeopleScout has also been growing organically, adding over 45 RPO contracts in 2018, and now has over 215 RPO clients with over 300,000 annual hires,” says Bragar. “…PeopleScout continues to be the largest RPO provider in terms of revenues in North America and they have continued to grow globally, across EMEA, APAC and LATAM.”

Bragar closes his post with this statement: “Having attended these events four years in a row, I’ve observed that PeopleScout has a very strong and collaborative relationship with its clients, reinforced by achieving high customer satisfaction marks for quality of partnership in our most recent RPO NEAT vender evaluation.”

HRO Today and PeopleScout Release New Global Unemployment Report

Chicago – April 12, 2019 – SharedXpertise, publisher of HRO Today Magazine, and PeopleScout, the world’s largest RPO provider and the No. 1 Managed Service Provider on HRO Today’s MSP Baker’s Dozen Customer Satisfaction Ratings since 2016, have partnered to release the Global Unemployment Report for the fourth quarter of 2018.

Throughout 2018, there was generally positive economic growth worldwide. The global unemployment rate fell to 5.2 percent, its lowest level in nearly 40 years. Of the 49 countries included in the study, 25 countries reported unemployment rates at or below 5.0 percent, which many economists consider to be at or near full employment. “Global unemployment is at its lowest rate since the 1970s,” said Larry Basinait, vice president of market research for SharedXpertise. “This can be attributed to changes in the workforce, including flexible working practices and the advent of the gig economy, as well as economic forces like low interest rates.”

Due to the size and significance of the U.S. economy, the report also breaks down unemployment rates by state. Overall, 25 states reported statistically significant decreases in unemployment rate in 2018. Economic growth in the United States, however, did slow down in the fourth quarter, compared to earlier in 2018.  According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, real GDP in the U.S. increased by 2.6 percent, which is a deceleration from the robust 3.4 percent in the third quarter.

“Employers may be wise to embrace a degree of caution heading into 2019,” continues Mr. Basinait. “Elevated trade tensions, financial market pressures in emerging markets and softening manufacturing activity can all have adverse impacts on employment rates.”

Chicago – April 3, 2019 – PeopleScout, a TrueBlue (NYSE: TBI) company and leading global provider of talent solutions, has been named a Leader in Everest Group’s Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) Services PEAK Matrix™ Assessment 2019. PeopleScout was also named one of five Star Performers based on year-over-year positive movement on the PEAK Matrix.

Arkadev “Arko” Basak, Vice President at Everest Group, noted, “PeopleScout’s continuous investments, both organic and inorganic, are testament to its forward-looking plan and vision. Investment in the end-to-end talent technology platform, Affinix, combining multiple digital elements, and the recent acquisition of TMP Holdings LTD (TMP) strengthening its European presence and expanding its services portfolio to include value-added services, are good examples. Investments such as these position PeopleScout well for the next level of growth.”

Everest Group classifies RPO service providers into three ascending categories of Aspirants, Major Contenders and the highest designation, Leaders. RPO providers are positioned against their peers on the PEAK Matrix. Everest Group’s PEAK Matrix framework assesses the market success and overall delivery capability of RPO service providers.

Everest Group’s research is based on three key sources of proprietary information: their database of approximately 3,000 RPO deals, the operational capability of the 26 ranked RPO service providers, and ongoing buyer surveys and interactions. To be named a Leader, RPO providers must have the highest maturity levels in market impact, vision and capability.
