TACOMA, Wash. – January 16, 2020 – PeopleReady, a TrueBlue company, is happy to announce that its president Taryn Owen has been named the 2019 Multiplier of the Year for the U.S. SMB category. Multiplier of the Year is an international, annual contest that recognizes leaders who amplify the intelligence and capabilities of the people around them. When these leaders walk into a room, light bulbs go on, ideas flow and problems get solved.
Known for building a Multiplier culture that expands individual and organizational growth, Owen has been recognized for her industry leadership with numerous awards throughout her distinguished career.
While serving as President of PeopleScout, TrueBlue’s RPO, MSP, Total Workforce Solutions, and talent advisory provider, Owen led the company through an era of accelerated growth and global expansion. During Owen’s tenure, PeopleScout launched its AI-powered Affinix platform and earned ongoing accolades for excellence in technology, service and customer satisfaction.
This year, Owen transitioned into her new role as President of PeopleReady, an industrial staffing giant and PeopleScout’s sister company. She is driving PeopleReady’s mission to change lives by connecting people with work and leading the company’s efforts to digitally transform on-demand staffing with its groundbreaking JobStack platform.
“Taryn exemplifies leadership that empowers others to innovate, challenge limits and succeed,” said Patrick Beharelle, CEO of TrueBlue. “We are happy to see Taryn recognized for the Multiplier she is as she takes on her new role as PeopleReady President and leads the digital and cultural transformation for the PeopleReady organization.”
“The goal of the Multiplier of the Year contest is to recognize and award the leaders who channel the intelligence, talent and creativity of their team and bring out the best in people around them,” said Liz Wiseman, CEO of the Wiseman Group and author of the New York Times bestseller “Multipliers.”
Winners of the Multiplier of the Year award are nominated by employees, submitted to a panel of judges and voted on by the public. The contest, which has been around for nearly a decade, is held by the Wiseman Group, a premier talent development and research organization.
